Finally, KonoSuba is coming back, and with it, a wealth of interesting characters. The lovable receptionist is a fan favourite, but Luna's age is actually a fascinating window into the fantastical society of KonoSuba.
While Luna isn’t exactly a main character, she’s definitely a familiar face for many fans. That’s because she’s a constant presence in the anime, at least during the times that Kazuma and his party are in Axel.
Who is Luna? Meet KonoSuba’s Guild Receptionist
KonoSuba is a hilarious isekai with a standout cast. Even though Kazuma, Aqua, Megumin, and Darkness are powerful, they’re often prone to dumb decisions which make for lots of comedic moments.
Aside from Kazuma’s party, the series also features other characters with questionable decision-making. Among the show’s wide array of characters, Luna stands out for being one of the few who is relatively normal.
Luna is the guild receptionist of the Adventurer Guild’s Axel branch. Thus, she was one of the first characters that Kazuma and Aqua met when they got transported into Axel.
Since then, Luna has been a recurring character as she’s the one giving out and processing the quests that Kazuma and the other adventurers embark on.
For the most part, Luna is a kind and dependable person who is always helpful to adventurers. Of course, the fact that Kazuma and his party often stir up trouble means she seems overworked.

Is Luna in the KonoSuba Light Novel and Manga?
While Luna is expected to continue being a key character in the anime, she’s kind of an anime original character.
The KonoSuba light novel had a nondescript guild receptionist when it began, but thanks to the anime’s success, series creator Natsume Akatsuki adopted Luna’s appearance in the later novels.
Meanwhile, the manga has a different receptionist character. Unlike the light novel, the manga did not change its design for the Axel guild receptionist.

How Old is Luna in Konosuba?
Age is surprisingly a big part of Luna’s story. Luna is already past marrying age, though she has continued to work as the guild receptionist. The fact that she’s not yet married is often a sore spot for her.
Despite being past marrying age, coupled with the fact that she looks quite mature, she is surprisingly young. Luna is only 22 years old in the series.
For reference, Kazuma was 17 years old when the series began while Megumin is slightly younger.
It’s likely that, as a fantasy series, KonoSuba’s world sees people get married at a younger age. This should explain why Luna fears that she’ll grow old alone even though she’s only 22.
