Listen to Timon, Pumbaa, and Nala Speak in New Promo for The Lion King

Aladdin proved to be another success for Disney, and the movie has actually overperformed when it came out. Now the next movie in line is Jon Favreau's The Lion King, and though the earlier trailers focus more on Mufasa, we now have a promo that lets us hear the voices of Nala, Timon, and Pumbaa.

Despite the movie being about Simba's journey, we have yet to hear either young or adult Simba talk in any of the trailers—unless you count a roar. Hopefully down the line, we get to see more characters speaking because the movie has admittedly assembled an impressive cast. It would be cool to have a preview of how well the voices fit the animals.

Simba idolizes his father, King Mufasa, and takes to heart his own royal destiny on the plains of Africa. But not everyone in the kingdom celebrates the new cub's arrival. Scar, Mufasa's brother -- and former heir to the throne -- has plans of his own. The battle for Pride Rock is soon ravaged with betrayal, tragedy, and drama, ultimately resulting in Simba's exile. Now, with help from a curious pair of newfound friends, Simba must figure out how to grow up and take back what is rightfully his.

The Lion King is set to hit theaters July 19, 2019.
