Lewis Tan Reveals the Official Mortal Kombat Movie Logo

The R rated Mortal Kombat reboot has a lot of people excited since it might finally do justice to this bloody franchise. While many fans have a soft spot for the original movie, the sequel is pretty hated and basically ruined the franchise's big-screen future during that time. Now that people are trying to make video game movies good, or at the least, make them like Marvel movies, fans are cautiously optimistic.

Lewis Tan, whose role in the movie has yet to be revealed, recently showed off the official Mortal Kombat reboot logo and it looks pretty sick. While it does look different from the video games, the dragon's newish design looks cool and the red seems like a slight warning that this movie is going to be bloody.

We already know that a number of popular characters from the Mortal Kombat video games will be appearing, like Scorpion and Sub-Zero. Fans are still waiting for more casting details and a screenshot or two, along with a trailer but this is a good enough start. Hopefully, more information is revealed soon.

Considering how good the stories of NetherRealm's recent Mortal Kombat videogames are, fans have higher expectations for this movie. That's a bit unfair since the games rely on continuity from previous installments while this film has to start from scratch but we're hoping for the best.

Mortal Kombat is expected to come out on March 5, 2021.
