Legion Creator Noah Hawley Already Met With Kevin Feige About The Doctor Doom Movie

It looks like Fargo and Legion creator Noah Hawley has just recently met with Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige to talk about his pitch for a Doctor Doom movie.

Back in 2017, Hawley told fans that he was writing a solo film for Doctor Doom at Fox. As exciting as the prospect sounded, the project never really came to fruition under the studio. Now, as the merger between Disney and Fox comes to a close (the acquisition is expected to come to a completion next week), it seems like Hawley has decided to approach Marvel with his plans.

Speaking in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, the television writer and producer was asked about the status of his Doctor Doom movie, and while Hawley admits that it's not close to getting officially greenlit, he did have the chance to meet with Feige.

According to Hawley, Marvel's head honcho asked him whether he was still working on the script of the project.

"Should I still be working on it?" Hawley replied, hoping for a positive response from Feige. Unfortunately, the Marvel Studios President didn't give a concrete answer, so right now Hawley isn't quite sure whether the movie would move forward.

Of course, Feige's response seems pretty understandable – Marvel still has its plate full to start thinking about future mutant projects right now. The studio has yet to release Avengers: Endgame, and after that, it's an all new roster of films for the MCU. Hopefully, Marvel will leave some space for Doctor Doom in its itinerary.

Avengers: Endgame premieres April 26, 2019.
