Kraven the Hunter Might Be Sony’s New Untitled Marvel Movie

Earlier this week, Marvel fans were surprised to find Sony announcing that it would be producing another untitled Marvel comic book movie in 2021.

Though Sony didn't exactly reveal who the movie would be for, fans assume that the film would fall under Sony's Universe of Marvel characters, a film franchise where the characters fall under the umbrella of Spider-Man. Right now, it's pretty clear that the 2021 release date isn't for Morbius and for Venom 2. Could the untitled Marvel movie be meant for Kraven the Hunter instead?

According to a report by ComicBook.com, it's quite possible that Sony's untitled 2021 Marvel movie may actually be meant for Kraven the Hunter. Sony is already developing a movie for Kraven the big game hunter, and last year we've seen the production landing its cast and crew. With Kraven the Hunter rolling into development, it would make sense for Sony giving the film a 2021 release date.

To the uninitiated, Kraven the Hunter, otherwise known as Sergei Kravinoff, was the creation of Stan Lee and Steve Ditko. The character which first appeared in the 1964 comic book The Amazing Spider-Man #15 came across as a big-game hunter who targeted Spider-Man as the world's most dangerous and most prized game.

Kraven the Hunter seems like a pretty decent guess for the untitled Marvel movie in 2021. However, it's also possible that Sony may be planning an entirely different movie for its announced 2021 release date. Let's just cross our fingers and wait and see.
