It has been a long time coming, but the new KonoSuba season finally has a premiere date. On Christmas Day in Japan, Kadokawa shared the first proper trailer for KonoSuba Season 3, which revealed its premiere date.
The anime’s second season aired way back in 2017, so this new season has been a highly anticipated one among fans.
Despite the lengthy wait, fans finally have a Spring 24 premiere date to look forward to. What makes the new season even more exciting is that it will introduce a bunch of new characters in Kazuma’s next adventure.
KonoSuba Reveals Three New Voice Cast Members
KonoSuba: God's Blessing on This Wonderful World! Season 3 has been confirmed to be in the works since mid-2022. Prior to the new season though, the Megumin spinoff aired during the Spring 23 season.
The spinoff told the story of Megumin before she joined Kazuma’s party. It featured several returning cast members, with the VAs of Kazuma, Aqua, and Darkness also having cameo voice roles.
For the next season, the main cast from the previous seasons and the Legend of Crimson film will return, as revealed in the announcement trailer.
The end of the trailer also features three characters who will play big roles in the coming arc. While not highlighted in the trailer, the VAs for these three characters were revealed.
They include:
- Kanon Takao (Hermit Mio in Edens Zero) as Iris
- Sayuri Yahagi (Sakuya in Sword Art Online: Alicization) as Claire
- Reina Ueda (Miyo Saimori in My Happy Marriage) as Rain
As there is still a season before the show’s premiere, chances are that more new cast members will be revealed in the coming months.

KonoSuba Season 3 Trailer Also Reveals April 2024 Premiere
Given that the Explosion spinoff in Spring 23 was a prequel, the Legend of Crimson anime film in 2019 was the last thing to happen in the anime’s timeline.
This next season will pick up where the film left off, meaning those who have only seen up until Season 2 should watch the movie, so they’ll be able to follow the events.

The trailer doesn’t really give much away regarding the new season’s story. Based on the short snippets though, fans should be in for more hilarious hijinks between Kazuma and company.
KonoSuba Season 3 will premiere in April 2024. For now, there’s no word yet on a specific release date for the series.
