Knives Out: Chris Evans Joins Rian Johnson’s Next Movie

Chris Evans had just wrapped his last work as Captain America in Avengers 4, and now he's looking for new things on the horizon. Just in, Evans is teaming up with Star Wars: The Last Jedi director Rian Johnson for his next movie outside of the MCU.

According to Deadline, Evans has joined the cast of Johnson's Knives Out in a mystery role. So far, the only other cast member of the film is Daniel Craig, but we should get more updates as the movie is said to be aiming for a November production start.

Knives Out has been described as a ‘modern day murder mystery in the classic whodunit style,' and unlike Johnson's grandiose work on The Last Jedi, this aims to be a smaller movie in the same vein as Brick and Looper.

While some people might think that Johnson has been fired from his Star Wars trilogy following the announcement of Knives Out, he's still pretty much involved with Lucasfilm. After this movie, it's straight back to work on his trilogy.

Sorry to disappoint The Last Jedi haters.

As for Evans, his career is once again an open book after his contract with Marvel. I'm just hoping he can come back to his raunchier roles like his work on The Losers or Scott Pilgrim vs. the World. I think Evans has been boxed in on serious/inspiring roles ever since he was hired to be the embodiment of a True American Hero.

No release dates have been announced for Rian Johnson's Knives Out or his Star Wars trilogy.
