Prince Harry didn't have the chance to meet his dad, King Charles III, during his recent trip to the U.K. as the monarch was apparently too busy.

Sadly, King Charles was unable to make time for his youngest son as he seemed to be preparing for his visit to Germany with his wife, Camilla, Queen Consort. Prince Harry was in the U.K. to attend a court trial amid his phone hacking lawsuit against a number of British publications.

Prince Harry Didn't See King Charles During U.K. Visit

Royal expert Alexander Larman told Us Weekly that the Duke of Sussex tried to meet with his dad, but the latter was too busy.

During his short visit home, he stayed at Frogmore Cottage despite being evicted by his father in March.

Two days after Prince Harry's arrival in the U.K., King Charles and Camilla went to Germany for their first trip as the new King and Queen of Britain.

A Hope for Reconciliation

Though Meghan Markle's husband missed meeting his dad, there's still hope for reconciliation at the upcoming coronation on May 6, per Page Six.

However, the Sussexes have yet to confirm their attendance at the historic event, but Larman claimed he would be surprised if they didn't attend.

"If he [doesn't] go to the coronation, he's essentially saying, 'I am not gonna have any relationship with my family ever again,'" he explained.

Though other experts seemed to be sure that the royal family might treat them with a cold shoulder, the backlash from their absence might be far worse.

"In a universe in which the damage already caused by the rift is still recoverable from, at least in part, a no-show would be the fatal, irreversible blow, both in the public perception as well, potentially, as within the family itself," royal public relations expert Edward Coram-James told GB News. "It risks drawing out the conflict over the long term."

He added that their no-show would "draw as much, if not more, media attention."

"The shadow of their absence would loom large over the entire ceremony, risking becoming the elephant in the room and an unwanted sideshow," Coram-James continued.

The Fear of Overshadowing King Charles' Coronation

But despite the calls for their attendance, a source told Entertainment Tonight that the royal family also fears Prince Harry and Meghan may overshadow King Charles' coronation, diverting the attention to them instead to the monarch.

"The big concern is the chaos that could overshadow the coronation if they attend," the insider stated.

"No one wants to see the focus taken away from King Charles with the press focused on Harry and Meghan and past family squabbles," the tipster continued. "The fear is -- if they do come -- more private matters could be made public, so efforts are being made to prevent that."
