Rumors have it that Meghan Markle is joining the world of politics due to her advocacies and charity work. To add more fuel to the fire, her recent hiring of a PR expert is seen as a big move to her alleged plans to venture into politics.

So, here are some clues that Meghan seemingly aspires to be a politician herself.

Hiring a PR Expert

A list by Express listed the Sussexes' move to hire a PR expert as the top sign that the Duchess of Sussex would enter politics.

Allegedly, the controversial pair paid almost £90,000 to Katie Mccormick-Lelyveld, Michelle Obama's former press secretary.

The payout was said to be made to Mccormick-Lelyveld's PR company, KMLSA LLC, for "strategic support for social impact PR."

The Daily Mirror royal editor Russell Myers said the payment seemingly hinted whether "[Meghan] has political ambition." He also told Sky News Australia that some saw this move as "frankly ridiculous," though he wouldn't "bet against it."

Meghan Markle's Paid Leave After Giving Birth Advocacy

Prince Harry's wife reportedly called the U.S. senators, Shelley Moore Capito and Susan Collins, in 2021 to campaign for paid paternal leaves.

Senator Capitor thought it was Senator Joe Manchin calling her when she received Meghan's call while driving, considering "his calls come in blocked."

She revealed that the former Suits star introduced herself as, "This is Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex."

Their numbers were said to be given by Senator Kirsten Gillibrand, and the purpose of her call was to ask them to adopt a policy for paid leave after having a baby.

A Female Candidate for the 2024 Presidential Election

A poll by Express via Hindustan Times noted that the Democrats would choose a female candidate for the 2024 presidential elections. Over a quarter of the respondents believed Meghan would be the group's choice, seemingly ranking higher than the current U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris.

U.S. President Joe Biden's sister, Valerie Biden, also suggested that Meghan could be "a good president prospect."

"It's wonderful to have women in politics. The more women we have, the better our democratic system will work," she said on Good Morning Britain.

However, Meghan has yet to confirm whether the rumors are true.
