The Multiverse concept has opened the door to infinite possibilities in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, with former Marvel actors being given the opportunity to reprise their roles. One of them is Kelsey Grammer, whose stunning The Marvels cameo delighted fans of the X-Men franchise.

Grammer would only play Beast in two films but despite his limited involvement in the FoxVerse, he certainly made an impression on fans which later allowed him to return, this time in the MCU.

The actor was thrilled to be part of the Marvel Universe and was admittedly disappointed after learning that he won't stick around for long.

In a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight, the X-Men actor revealed his initial reaction after finding out that his Beast would be replaced by a younger version of the mutant.

He recalled: "I did the role... we were in Cannes, it was a big premiere, it was all being celebrated, people were taking a bow and all this nonsense. I thought, well, we finally arrived! And they came up and said we found this fabulous new direction for the franchise. I thought, 'This is it. I've made it. I'm finally in a franchise movie -- and they said that they were gonna go back in time and Beast was gonna be younger. Then I slowly deduced that I was not included."

Grammer and Hoult both played the character in 2014's X-Men: Days of Future Past although the former would only appear for a brief cameo, with Hoult taking the role in the films that would follow.

Thankfully, Grammer was given another chance to play Beast in the MCU. And it's already safe to say that we'll see more of him in future projects, especially with Monica Rambeau being transported to their universe.

The Marvels is expected to hit Disney+ in early 2024.
