Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 215 sees Sukuna surprised at Yuji's fierce attempts to fight him back.

While Yuji on his own is no match for Sukuna, Megumi's consciousness is still trying to fight back.

This is hopeful news for those wondering if Megumi is dead -- or so it would be if Yuji didn't seem resigned to a bleak reality.

When Maki joins the fight and comes to Yuji's aid, the two agree that they must capture this new vessel of Sukuna, no matter what.

At this point, Maki isn't entirely clear on whether the Soul Liberation blade with Reversed Cursed Technique will have any effect.

Arguably, the most surprising element of this chapter is Yuji's willingness to do what he must, even if it means killing Megumi to eliminate Sukuna.

Uraume interrupts their fighting, incapacitating them with a wall of ice. The two use Nue to carry them away and laugh at Yuji's resolve.

However, his consciousness is still very much entrapped in a body that Sukuna now controls, and his resolve isn't enough.
