Jordan Peele's Twilight Zone Set to Premiere in April

Jordan Peele has proven to be very busy ever since his directorial debut of Get Out. Besides his upcoming film, Us, he's also set to host the reboot of The Twilight Zone. What cool is, the show could be airing sooner than we thought.

According to TV Line, The Twilight Zone reboot is set to premiere on CBS this coming April 1. As I said, Peele is attached to the show as the host, but he is also onboard as an executive producer as well.

With the rise of anthology shows like Black Mirror, I'm sure that there will also be an audience for this Twilight Zone reboot. Each episode is basically its own grim, self-contained adventure, but unlike BM which has strong themes about the troubles of technology, it's basically open season for The Twilight Zone to cover whatever dark and crazy story they could think up.

The series has already managed to amass an impressive cast with the likes of John Cho, Adam Scott, Rhea Seahorn, Jacob Tremblay, Alison Tolman, and Kumail Nanjiani set to appear in their own episodes. The first episode on the list is Rewind which will likely have Ike Barinholtz front and center. The reboot is also making a rehash of original episode Nightmare at 20,000 Feet with Nightmare at 30,000 Feet starring Adam Scott.

I personally don't know what to expect from the reboot, but the cast is admittedly impressive with Peele showing great potential with the genre.

Catch The Twilight Zone on CBS when it premieres on April 1.
