Marvel Studios continues to prove that it knows what the fandom truly wants and Phase Four alone didn't skimp out on fan service, from Charlie Cox and Vincent D'Onofrio's respective MCU debuts to Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield returning to their roles as Spider-Man in the grandest way possible.
Well, it looks like more actors will continue crossing over to the Marvel Cinematic Universe as the Multiverse Saga rolls on, with the likes of Krysten Ritter and Chloe Bennet reportedly leading the charge. Now, another actor who has long been rumored to be joining the billion-dollar franchise is once again fueling speculation about his potential casting in an upcoming series.
This week, Showtime (via ComicBook) announced that Jon Bernthal's latest project, the crime-drama series American Gigolo has officially been canned after just one season. Coincidentally, cameras will begin rolling for Daredevil: Born Again in mid-February and if you've been following the rumor mill, Bernthal is reportedly joining the series to reunite with Charlie Cox.
It's also worth noting that Bernthal's rumored MCU casting has seemingly been spoiled by several people, including Rosario Dawson who appeared in Netflix's Marvel shows. Back in November, an actor by the name of Kasey O’Keefe also claimed that Bernthal is heading to the MCU.

Now, whether American Gigolo's cancelation was actually intentional or it's just a matter of the stars aligning for the actor at the right time, there's now a good chance that we'll see the fan-favorite mercenary in the MCU. And there's absolutely no reason for Marvel Studios not to bring Bernthal back because he delivered a stellar performance as Punisher.
Daredevil: Born Again is expected to premiere in Spring 2024 on Disney+.
