Joe Russo Explains Why Peter Parker and Ned are Still in High School After Avengers: Endgame

Peter Parker's story in Avengers: Endgame ended up with him reuniting with his best friend Ned, but with the five-year time jump, a lot of people were starting to wonder why the two were still in high-school. Apparently, Ned had also got dusted like Peter, along with the rest of their friends.

According to MCU Cosmic's Jeremy Conrad, co-director Joe Russo had this to say about Ned and Peter still being in high school:

"The reason Spider-Man saw his friend again in high school at the end was simply because his friends were unfortunately also dusted like Spider-Man was. Of course, there are people in his grade whom didn't die and they are probably already in college"

This should be interesting, seeing that Spider-Man: Far from Home will take place in a post-snap world. While I'm expecting the movie to answer some questions related to the aftermath of Endgame, I don't really expect the film to dwell on the issue for too long. At best, I think the movie is just going to treat things like they never happened. Then again, I guess it would be easy to include some lines about some of their friends already being in college because they survived five years ago.

For now, I guess all we can really do is enjoy Avengers: Endgame while it's still in cinemas. Sony is also planning for a new trailer for Far from Home, but it's expected to release way after a good chunk of the audience has already seen Endgame. It's amazing the earlier trailers didn't manage to spoil anything.

Catch Avengers: Endgame in theaters today. Spider-Man: Far from Home hits theaters July 2.
