The Russo Brothers On Why Avengers: Endgame Doesn't Have a Post-Credit Scene

Avengers: Endgame is officially showing in cinemas and fans have been very vocal about their feelings for the film, even though some of them promised to stay quiet for two weeks. Guess not everyone is as loyal as Pepper Potts. Anyway, fans have been buzzing about the many things this gigantic film has done right and a couple of things it's done wrong but there is one common complaint everyone has; why was there no post-credit scene?

Directors Joe and Anthony Russo opened up about this to USA Today, simply stating that they really didn't plan for one. The title for this movie is called Endgame after all and it seems like the directing duo really wanted a feeling of finality when it came to this MCU installment and who can blame them?

Here is what the duo had to say:

"It was never in the cards. It was called 'Endgame' for a reason. This is it. This is the ending. The book is closed on that chapter of the Marvel universe and a new book will get written."
"There's no future. There will be a future, of course, but it's not our responsibility."

Considering the amount of pressure these two must have felt, one can imagine the weight off their shoulders now that the film has been released. The duo has stated that they are done with Marvel for now and will move on to different projects, like Deadly Class on SyFy.

Avengers: Endgame is now showing in theaters.
