While not as good as the first season, fans still enjoyed Jessica Jones season 2 and cannot wait for a third. Since the current Netflix Marvel series aren't building up to something like Defenders (yet), it looks like these characters will stay in their corner of the MCU for the time being. This is great news since it looks like Jessica Jones season 3 is going to start sooner than we think.
During Comicpalooza (via ComicBook.com), lead actress Krysten Ritter revealed that she would start filming for the third season soon. Ritter revealed this after her manager asked a rhetorical question regarding season 3, which she quickly answered. The actress revealed that she has also been having an intense workout, showing that she is getting ready for her return.
"Spoiler alert! I start very soon. I'm training, boxing, all of that. Pumping iron. You have to get yourself physically prepared to do the stunts, but also our schedule's crazy. We work long hours, sometimes we work overnight. I found that when I start off in really good shape, I feel better and I can keep up with the schedule."
No details on the plot or possible villain were revealed and since 2019 already has the second seasons of The Punisher and Iron Fist, we probably won't see Jessica Jones season 3 until the year 2020. This is fine since we still have Luke Cage season 2 and Daredevil season 3 to look forward to, not to mention the various Arrow-verse shows on the CW.
Both seasons of Jessica Jones can currently be streamed on Netflix.
