Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom isn't arriving until Christmas this year but as early as now, Jason Momoa is already making waves in teasing a surprise character that will be returning in the sequel and he wants everyone to anticipate that moment as he said it is one of the funniest in the movie.

Speaking with The Wrap, Jason Momoa reveals that Topo, the Atlantian octopus, will be back in Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom, "Oh yeah. He'll be back alright."

Momoa even teased the scenes where Topo will appear and for everyone to watch out for it, "It's hilarious. It's wonderful. You're gonna love it. This moment, I want you to remember that you asked me. It might be one of the funniest moments of the whole movie."

Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom will mark the return of Jason Momoa as the King of Atlantis, Aquaman, as he bids to save his kingdom and the whole planet by forging an uneasy alliance with the most unlikely allies to successfully do so.

The sequel, Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom, has faced a lot of issues and setbacks especially when one of its main cast, Amber Heard, who plays Mera, became sensationalized because of her case against her ex-husband, Johnny Depp. Heard will reportedly stay and would likely show up in the sequel.

There are also some setbacks when it comes to the release of Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom following the merger of Warner Bros. Discovery and the calendar kept moving for the DC movies slate. After Shazam! The Fury of the Gods moved its release to March 2023, the Aquaman sequel had to be pushed back as well.

There is no word yet whether the new DC Studios CEOs would retain the story of Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom for the new DC Universe that they are plotting.

Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom is currently slated for a theatrical release on December 25, 2023.
