James Gunn Wants Harley Quinn to Team Up with Groot

We all have our own ideas for fantasy crossovers between major franchises. But what would someone with the power to make huge team-ups happen actually do? James Gunn has just revealed that he would like to send Harley Quinn on an amazing adventure with Groot.

It's no secret that Gunn loves interacting with his followers on social media. So it's no surprise that the filmmaker answered a fan who wanted to know which characters from Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 and The Suicide Squad he would want to bring together. Take a look at his response below.

"I've discussed this extensively with @MargotRobbie and I think Harley and Groot would have fabulous adventures together. And there are other great combos I'd bring up... if we at #TheSuicideSquad weren't keeping things under wraps..." Gunn wrote.

First of all, we're not surprised that Margot Robbie agrees with Gunn on this one. After all, there's probably nobody out there who would turn down the chance to work with Groot. However, we're also curious about the "great combos" that Gunn mentioned in the tweet.

For now, we're not exactly sure what to expect from The Suicide Squad but the film already sounds promising judging from its stellar cast. In addition to Robbie, the movie will bring back Viola Davis, Joel Kinnaman and Jai Courtney. The new cast members include Idris Elba, John Cena, Nathan Fillion, Peter Capaldi, Taika Waititi, Storm Reid, Flula Borg, Pete Davidson, Alice Braga, Sean Gunn, Michael Rooker, Joaquín Cosío, Mayling Ng, Juan Diego Botto, Tinashe Kajese, Julio Ruiz, and Jennifer Holland.

The Suicide Squad will premiere on August 6, 2021.
