Change has definitely arrived as the new leadership brings in a fresh DC Studios with a revamp of the franchise. As co-heads Peter Safran and James Gunn steer the ship, the latter confirms the arrival of a fan-favorite hero from the comics, Static!
There is no doubt that DC has an abundance of characters to choose from its source material as the comics offer a ton of heroes and villains to choose from.
With Peter Safran and James Gunn helming the leadership of the ne DC Universe, new faces are bound to enter the franchise which ahs been seemingly confirmed by Gunn with a simple "yes."
On Twitter, a fan asked about whether Static or other Milestone characters would be brought to life by the new DC Universe.
James Gunn kept is short, simple, and concise, with his respond being "yes."
That just means that Static and the other Milestone characters are within the plans for the revamp of the DC Universe.

In the comics, Static is a fan-favorite hero created by the founders of Milestone Comics Dwayne McDuffle, Christopher Priest, Derek T. Dingle, Michael Davis, and Denys Cowan.
Static, also known as Virgil Ovid Hawkins, belong to the metahumans, a human subspecies with superhuman powers.
Bein a teenager, Static is relatable to those with his same age, thus, being a comic book fan-favorite.
While Static was born without powers, Static was exposed to a radioactive chemical called "Quantum Juice" where he became a "Bang Baby," thus, having supernatural abilities to control electricity.
Everything around electricity, may it be electrokinesis, electromagnetic manipulation, electrocommunication, energy absorption, and even the use of lightning, name it and Static could do it!
Other than Static, other Milestone characters which could make their debut under the new DC Universe are Xombi, Dharma, Icon, Hardware, and Wise Son among others.
While it remains unknown how Static or the other Milestone characters would fit into the new DC Universe, it is still exciting to see that Safran and Gunn could possibly utilize the comic books better than those who did before.
