A fan recently asked DC Studios co-chairman James Gunn on Threads whether the recent casting rumor surrounding Krasinski being the DCU's Batman is true at all.

Gunn quickly disputed the rumor and explained that no casting has been made yet since there is no script at the moment and the strike is preventing them from doing any casting.

"I don’t know what you’re talking about but we don’t even have a script, and there’s a strike happening, so, no, no casting," he wrote in his post.

As Gunn explained, considering that the project is in early development with no script, there is really no truth at all to the Krasinski casting rumor and it will take a while before DC Studios commences an official casting process for the role.

The Brave and the Bold is also slated to be the third film in the DCU and DC Studios is more focused right now on their first, Superman: Legacy, which is currently in pre-production.
