Starting with WandaVision in Phase Four, we've seen that the MCU has been extensively exploring the magical sections of the universe whether it's the introduction of chaos magic or examining other universes and dimensions that exist through the mystic arts.

It is a change of pace from the Infinity Saga where most of the heroes that they focused on were Earth-based and it remains to be seen how it will all unfold throughout the Multiverse Saga as they dabble with more fantastical elements.

A lot of fans have been also curious about where it will all lead, especially in upcoming projects like Agatha: Darkhold Diaries and the rumored third Doctor Strange film where they are expected to explore the magical elements even further.

It is also one of the many puzzle pieces that the MCU is currently exploring as they are producing more films and TV shows that play with various genres, sections, and stories across the board.

According to a scoop from insider @CanWeGetToast on X, Marvel Studios has tasked WandaVision showrunner Jac Schaeffer to take charge of crafting the "magikal" section of the MCU.

It is similar to Guardians of the Galaxy director James Gunn when he was tasked to shepherd the cosmic section of the MCU back when he was still working with Marvel Studios.

Given that Schaeffer is also serving as the showrunner of Agatha: Darkhold Diaries, it does make sense that she was the person that was tasked to head the magical section of the MCU and provide the rules of how it all works after exploring it extensively in WandaVision.

With one person taking charge of that section of the MCU, we can assume that it could lead to some consistency and there won't be any confusion regarding the leaps and logics, especially with its heavy supernatural elements.

At this point, it won't be surprising if Schaeffer will co-write or co-executive producer more MCU projects that lean towards magic or she could be the go-to person that they can consult on to make sure that there will be consistency.

It is interesting to see how far they will go in exploring the magical elements and how they will balance them with the scientific, grounded, and cosmic sections of the MCU to avoid being too convoluted.

Agatha: Darkhold Diaries is slated to release on Disney+ in fall 2024.
