Is Zhen Good or Bad in Kung Fu Panda 4? Fox Twists Own Story
While Master Shifu wants Po to take on a new role in Kung Fu Panda 4, the panda faces the difficulty of accepting that he has to move forward from being the once-known Dragon Warrior.
Little did Po know, this was his last adventure as the Dragon Warrior, with a new character about to take his part.
In comes Zhen, voiced by Awkwafina, a sly fox and criminal from Juniper City who has great kung fu skills. Zhen proves herself worthy of helping Po find The Chameleon by breaking into the Jade Palace.
Despite being a criminal, Po's journey with Zhen solidifies their friendship and bond over time, similar to how it went with the rest of the Furious Five.
Unfortunately, Zhen turned out to be a bad guy. She had been working for The Chameleon all along, and she intentionally led Po to her master so they could take his kung fu from him. But Zhen's story doesn't end there.
Even though she stole the Staff of Wisdom from Po to hand over to the villain, she eventually makes the right choice by helping the former Dragon Warrior retrieve it.
This led to Po's ultimate decision on who deserves to take on his mantle: Zhen.

Why Did Po Choose Zhen to Become the New Dragon Warrior?
Considering that Po was never the perfect Dragon Warrior at first glance, it took some training and bonding to get to know him better in the earlier movies.
Remember what Master Oogway said? "There are no accidents," which includes Zhen and Po's meeting right when Master Shifu instructed Po to search for the next Dragon Warrior.
Po's decision was hard for Master Shifu to accept, but in the end, he trusted the panda.
As Po took on the title of protector of the Valley of Peace, Master Shifu, along with the return of the Furious Five, started training Zhen to be the new Dragon Warrior in town.
