Fans are Confused About Fatima's Timeline on Sistas
Let's face it: as much as a power couple Fatima (played by Crystal Hayslett) and Zac (Devale Ellis) are, their love story continues to be in a huge heap of mess in the Sistas spinoff, Zatima.
While Sistas focuses on the story of the four main girls trying to navigate their careers and love life, Zatima has the spotlight on Zac and Fatima. Hence, the title of the series.
Not only has Fatima been stuck co-parenting with Zac for his exes' babies, but she has just dropped a bombshell on him in the cliffhanging episode in Zatima Season 2: This time, she reveals she's pregnant with his baby.
Considering they had just gotten back together, this is already turning out to be a huge deal for their relationship going forward, and more importantly, to the show's timeline.
Since Zatima is Tyler Perry's spinoff to the original, Sistas, shouldn't Fatima have been pregnant at some point in the latter? This is what sent fans into a frenzy.
Fatima had just revealed she was pregnant in the spinoff, but she is seen drinking wine with the girls in the Sistas promotional video, which is not something you do when expecting a baby. So, what is going on here?
While Sistas had been running for seven seasons already, and Zatima is moving on to Season 3, there should have been a correlation in the events between the two series.
However, fans seem to have missed that timeline connection. So, if Fatima is pregnant on Zatima, how come she's not on Sistas? Here's what the timeline shows about the series.

Sistas and Zatima Timelines Explained
According to a SISTAS Season 7 Episode 1 discussion space on X (formerly Twitter), the timeline between Sistas and Zatima are two separate storylines, as confirmed by the new writers on the show.
While fans do not seem satisfied with this answer, it would appear that the spinoff's timeline is not related when looking into what Sistas has in store for the audience.
It is also worth mentioning that Devale Ellis (who plays Zac in both series) previously confirmed that Sistas and Zatima are "two different universes with the same people."
This is not the first time the series had a confusing timeline revolving around its own characters. An example of this is how Karen (played by Ebony Obsidian) has been pregnant for 13 seasons without showing so much as a baby bump.
Then again, we would just have to wait and see how both series unfold their storylines in their own way and their own time.
