Is Captain Marvel the Start of a Revolution? New Promo Image Says Yes

It won't be long before Captain Marvel comes to theaters and wows us (or disappoints us) with its revelations of the MCU. The movie is being built up huge, thanks to the fact that it's Marvel's first film with a woman as a solo lead. Ant-Man and The Wasp had a woman share a title and leading role with a man, so March's film is a little more special than that one.

Captain Marvel isn't just a superhero movie, but a revolution, at least according to Empire Magazine.

Empire released a promotional image of Brie Larson's Carol Danvers, where the words "talking about a revolution," can be seen. It seems like the magazine (and Marvel Studios) are building up this movie big time and are hoping that it gets similar acclaim to Wonder Woman, if not more. Hopefully, it's done in a smart and fun way, otherwise many will call it propaganda, leading to a lot of flame wars.

Many are hoping that Captain Marvel is the start of Marvel adding more women and other minorities into leading roles, especially with rumors of a Black Widow movie (which should have come first, let's be honest). If we're lucky, characters like America Chavez, Ms. Marvel, and the Young Avengers have a future in cinema.

Captain Marvel comes out on March 8. Will this be the start of a revolution?
