Invincible season 2 part 1 premiered on November 3, 2023, and ended on November 24, 2023. It ended on a cliffhanger, leaving fans on the edge waiting torturously for 4 months before seeing the remaining four episodes.

Given that the series is far from over, fans are convinced that Invincible season 3 shouldn't be far off. Now, is it?

Well, Steven Yeun, who voices Mark Grayson's titular hero alias, recently confirmed on Collider that Invincible season 3 is already "banking episodes"!

"For us, we know that this big break was not fun," Yeun said, "We've been working hard to get a lot of backlog done. We wanna time this animation thing appropriately. So, yeah, we've been working."

Considering that fans had to wait for two years between Invincible season 1 and season 2, Yeun's reassurance gives hope that season 3 won't have to suffer incredible delays this time.

Where Invincible Season 2 Part 1 Left Us

The first part of Invincible season 2 explored the aftermath when Omni-Man left Earth and his own family.

Not only had Mark Grayson decided to sign up under Cecil to work alongside the new Guardians of the Globe heroes, but he also found where Omni-Man had been hiding all along — on the planet called Thraxa.

As if that wasn't already far too huge for Mark to take in, Omni-Man revealed that he had raised a new family of his own on Thraxa.

Because Omni-Man failed his mission to conquer Earth, the Viltrumites hunted him down and captured him, leaving his unfinished task with his son, Mark.

That said, Mark is now left with the conflict that he may have to continue his father's mission and succeed. Otherwise, Earth is in trouble if the rest of the Viltrumites come down to hunt them all.

Meanwhile, Invincible season 2 part 2 will begin airing on Prime Video on March 14.
