Insecure Star Natasha Rothwell Cast In A Mystery Role For Wonder Woman 1984

It looks like Warner Brothers is still adding more cast members to its newest Wonder Woman standalone, Wonder Woman 1984.

According to Deadline, the studio has just cast Insecure actor and writer Natasha Rothwell for a mystery role in its Wonder Woman sequel. There isn't any information yet on the role the actress might be playing in the upcoming DC Extended Universe installment, but the news comes right after Wonder Woman 1984 director Patty Jenkins appeared at this year's San Diego Comic-Con International over the weekend with lead star Gal Gadot and Chris Pine.

Popping up at Warner Brother's panel during the convention, not only did the trio give fans their first look at Wonder Woman 1984, they also talked a little about what to expect from Diana Prince's second standalone movie.

The clip hasn't made its way to the internet just yet, but descriptions of the footage say that the sequence screened during the panel was actually an action scene at a mall food court showing Wonder Woman dealing with two baddies with guns. Though the action sequence doesn't give away too much about the film's plot, people present during the panel say the video was fun and embraced the tone of the 80's, the time in which the film is set.

Wonder Woman 1984 is scheduled to premiere on November 1, 2019.
