How Much Did Griselda Blanco Make a Day?
At the peak of her life, it was reported that Blanco was earning $2 billion. Her business was estimated to be smuggling 1.5 tons of cocaine each month.
Blanco has been regarded as one of the richest drug dealers of all time. In addition to her drug trafficking business, she invested in a slew of properties in the US and Colombia. She is said to own an apartment priced at $32.6 million in Colombia.
There are also reports that Blanco brought in $8 million per week. So how much did Griselda Blanco make a day? With her drug business alone, that's roughly $1,142,857 a day.

Who is richer though: Griselda Blanco or Pablo Escobar? As revealed by Business Insider, Blanco made the list of the 10 wealthiest drug dealers of all time. Blanco was also the only woman who made it to the list.
She made $2 billion at the height of her career, which was more than Al Capone's $1.3 billion net worth.
But comparing this with Pablo Escobar, Blanco's wealth was just pennies. Escobar's net worth at the peak of his drug business was $30 billion.

What Happened to Blanco's Money?
When Blanco was finally arrested in 1985, the Drug Enforcement Agency's Central Tactical Program (CENTAC) was able to seize a huge chunk of her money.
Celebrity Net Worth shared that four of her properties were seized by authorities. These properties were said to have cost $118.7 million.
Despite this, Blanco still owned several other properties that have not been seized by authorities. One of which was a lavish mansion worth $32.6 million.
In an interview with Maxim, DEA Agent Robert Palombo shared that Blanco had "tons of money squirreled away in different bank accounts that were never recovered."
When she was finally deported to Colombia, it was revealed that she no longer had the billions she used to amass. This led the police officer to say:
"Poor? Listen to this: you and I are poor. She went around driving her mazdita [a black Mazda 6] and collecting the money from the leases on the properties she still owned. She was also selling a building for 1,500 million pesos."
And when Blanco was finally killed in 2012, her coffin was adorned with golden Arabesque designs. She was also buried in the Jardines de Montesacro cemetery, which is where Escobar was also buried.
