Griselda Blanco has made a name for herself as The Cocaine Godmother, The Godmother, and The Black Widow. She rose to the ranks as one of the most notorious drug lords in Colombia during the 70s and 80s.

She made a lucrative business in manufacturing, transporting, and distributing cocaine in the US. It was even reported that she brought in around $80 million per month.

Because of her alleged violent approach to dealing with her enemies, Blanco became a feared Queenpin. It is said that she amassed a fortune worth $2 billion when she was at the peak of her business, making her one of the richest drug dealers in history.

At the time of her death, her real estate portfolio was said to be around $500 million.

What Properties Did She Own?

Interestingly, Blanco made a wise decision by investing her money in real estate properties throughout Miami and Colombia.

According to Colombia Reports, Blanco had a large portfolio of properties and homes not just in Miami. She also owned real estate throughout Colombia.

One of the notable properties she owned was the 1,500-square-meter mansion situated in the Lombardy urbanization of Medellin.

The publication revealed that this property is composed of a massive home with a garden area of an extra 800 square meters.

Apart from this, Blanco is reported to have owned a range of properties including private mansions and commercial establishments. She was said to have owned an apartment complex valued at $32.6 million.

As shared by Colombia Reports, at least 20 other properties have been discovered in the registry offices of Bogota and Cartagena. But it's still possible that the actual number could be a lot higher.

According to the publication, authorities estimate that the late Queenpin's fortune could include as much as 200 properties. This includes massive farms in Uraba as well as her estates in Medellin, Bello, Envigado, and San Cristobal.

Although most of these properties were bought in cash, the report revealed that some homes part of the investigation still receive monthly mortgage payments.

When she died, Colombian federal law enforcement was able to seize four of her properties, which amounted to $118.7 million.

The DEA continues to look for Blanco's assets. It's also possible that some of her wealth is still hidden somewhere only those close to her know of.
