Summer Time Rendering is one of those anime shows whose thrilling plot relies on time travel or time loops. Shinpei Ajiro, the main protagonist, frequently uses this power after dying from one cause or another. However, how does time travel work in Summer Time Rendering?
Shinpei Ajiro returns to Hitogashima Island to attend Ushio Kofune's funeral in the anime. When he arrives on the island, he is confronted with the otherworldly. Shinpei's life has never been peaceful since discovering the truth about Ushio's death and the island's secret.

How Does Time Travel Work in Summer Time Rendering?
Shinpei Ajiro does not technically travel through time. Time looping is a much better term. He can only use this ability after he dies at the moment. It turns out, that Shinpei's left eye is responsible for activating this incredible power.
Shinpei, according to the four-handed Shadows named Shide, has the left eye of the Mother of the Shadows. This enables him to do time loops, reset the time, and correct his errors. Unfortunately, Shinpei lacks the ability to control it at will, making it difficult for him to achieve his goal.
The shadows not only want the eye back, but they also want him dead. After all, Shinpei is one of the most dangerous forces preventing Mother's awakening. The Mother of the Shadows is the evil Haine, split into two: the good and the bad.
Shinpei's ability has numerous drawbacks. Not only does he not use it at will, but the time resets each time he uses it. Apparently, the starting point is getting closer, which causes him to panic and become upset.
Shinpei first obtained the eye after time-looping for the fifth time in the Summer Time Rendering manga. While he expects to start over, he ends up in the time period when the young Hizuru Minakata befriends Haine.
Hizuru meets Haine in the woods at the Hishigata family's abandoned clinic. While some of her friends believe Haine is merely a ghost, Hizuru believes otherwise.
She befriends Haine, even promising to stay friends with her until the end. They even meet every day while Hizuru feeds Haine treats because the latter is always hungry.
However, Hizuru's brother, Ryuunosuke, was eaten by Haine one day. Hizuru and Haine should have met, but Nezu Ginjirou distracts Hizuru by forcing her to leave the woods because it is dangerous for her.
Ryuunosuke, on the other hand, is looking for his sister, who has not returned home. He believes Hizuru went out of her way to find Haine, which explains his unexpected meeting with the Mother of the Shadows.
The starving Haine clung to Ryuunosuke. Hizuru appeared only to witness his brother's death. Shinpei Ajiro appears at this point only to witness Haine being shot in the eye by Nezu's shotgun. It is thought that he got the eye at this point.
Shinpei time loops and resets time, only to be followed around by Haine. Ushio used one of his time loops to show Shinpei what really happened in the events leading up to her death. Surprisingly, Haine is to blame for Ushio's death.
Haine latched a mark on Shinpei's hand in order to locate him at any time. Shinpei will now have to work harder to outwit Haine and reset the events leading up to the night of the summer festival on Hitogashima Island.
