How Avengers: Endgame Sets Up Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 (SPOILERS)

MAJOR SPOILERS FOR AVENGERS: ENDGAME

"We're in the Endgame now." That's what all of us were saying when we waited in theaters to see Avengers: Endgame. The movie is not only the ending to Marvel Studios' most integral story; Thanos and the Infinity Stones, but also sets up a new future for other characters in a few notable ways.

So, does Endgame set up Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 in any way?

YES.

After the final battle, a lot of the Avengers started thinking about their lives and how they want to fulfill them. With a number of characters brought back to life (told you we'd be spoiling), things are better for the most part but the journey has made Thor realize that he is not fit to be king. He then hands the reigns of New Asgard to Valkyrie and goes on a trip.

With the Guardians of the Galaxy.

No joke, Thor joins the Guardians of the Galaxy as they embark on a new mission to search for the time-displaced Gamora, who helped them defeat Thanos. Thor and Star-Lord argue about who the team leader is before the group eggs them to fight and see who the real leader is. Thor says that isn't needed and tells Quill he is still the leader, before proceeding to do whatever the hell he wants.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is going to have Thor and it's going to be lit.

Avengers: Endgame is now showing in theaters.
