Does Avengers: Endgame Kill Captain America? (SPOILERS)

MAJOR SPOILERS FOR AVENGERS: ENDGAME

Avengers: Endgame is now showing and fans can see how Marvel Studios is going to close out the latest chapter in the MCU. There is a lot to cover from this film and it's clear that this installment is both an ending and a beginning, just like a good comic book. For now, we'll cover one major aspect that a lot of fans have been asking about: Does Captain America die?

The short answer is: NO.

The long answer is: No, but they found another way to write him out and it's arguably the worst part of the film.

With Thanos defeated (we said major spoilers didn't we?), Steve is tasked with returning the Infinity Stones to their proper timelines. The trip should only take 10 seconds in real time (longer in quantum time), but Hulk, Bucky, and Falcon are shocked when Steve doesn't return after the allotted time.

It seemed like this would be the theme for the next movie, but an older Steve is soon seen in the back. Turns out that Steve ended up living the life he wanted to have with Peggy Carter after returning the Infinity Stones. Now that he's older and (seemingly) in no shape to fight, Steve gives the Shield to Sam Wilson, so it looks like he will drop the Falcon alias and become the new Captain America.

No, we don't know how Steve knew they would still be in that spot. TIME TRAVEL IS WEIRD.

So yeah, that Falcon and Winter Soldier Disney+ series is going to be REALLY interesting.
