It has just been confirmed that there is a Dark Phoenix trailer out there and it has been screened by a chosen few at a recent marketing event hosted by 20th Century Fox. But when exactly will the teaser for the next X-Men film be released?
Fans have been wondering about the latest X-Men movie after it was subject to reshoots earlier this year. Interestingly, shooting has wrapped just one day before the Dark Phoenix trailer debuted at the promotional presentation in St. Petersburg, Russia. It certainly sounds like Fox is ready to release the trailer publicly but there have been no official updates just yet.
Nevertheless, there are speculations that the Dark Phoenix trailer that debuted in Russia will get an official release date in the next month. There is a possibility that Fox will drop the teaser at the premiere of Bad Times at the El Royale on October 12. However, the trailer might get an earlier debut alongside another comic book movie, as per CinemaBlend.
There are rumors that the Dark Phoenix trailer will be released with Sony's Venom next month. Although it might be unlikely, fans are still hoping that we will soon see a glimpse at what to expect in the next X-Men film. Hopefully, the trailer will be released sometime in October.
Dark Phoenix stars Sophie Turner as Jean Grey, the young mutant who continues to struggle with her powers. In the film, Jean will encounter a mysterious shapeshifter (Jessica Chastain) who will attempt to manipulate her to unleash her dark alter ego. The film also brings back Jennifer Lawrence, Michael Fassbender, James McAvoy, Nicholas Hoult, and Evan Peters. Alexandra Shipp and Tye Sheridan from X-Men: Apocalypse will return in the film as well.
Dark Phoenix was initially scheduled for release in November 2018. However, the premiere date of the X-Men movie has been moved to February 14, 2019.
