Here’s Our First Look At Star Wars Legend Mark Hamill’s Character In History Channel’s Knightfall

Star Wars legend Mark Hamill is making his way to the second season of History Channel's Knightfall television series, and now a new promo picture for the upcoming season gives fans their very first look at The Last Jedi star's character, Talus.

The photo which was just recently released on TV Insider shows everyone's favorite Jedi Master turn over his saber for a sword and armor in the second season of Knightfall.

Hamill's character Talus serves as an initiate master who is responsible for training the Knights Templar's newest members. The Knights Templar is a pious Christian military order which protects pilgrims traveling to the Holy Land.

After spending ten years of his life being a tortured POW during a Crusade, Talus ends up being a hardened but wise and deeply faithful trainer for the Knights of Templar.

The suffering that Talus went through as a victim of torture is pretty clear – in the photo we see the character's face riddled with scars all over his face.

"He takes pride in the scars because they made him who he is," Knightfall's new showrunner Aaron Helbing says in an interview with the publication.

In the photo fans also get to see Talus standing alongside one of his students, Landry (Tom Cullen). Landry used to be a master himself, however, he was demoted after breaking his vows during the first season of the series.

"The two of them face off against each other, and it's pretty brutal," Helbing teases fans. "The whole season is darker, grittier and more action-heavy."

It's going to be pretty interesting seeing Hamill work with swords in Knightfall. We definitely can't wait for the second season of the series.

Knightfall season 2 makes its way to History Channel in the Spring of 2019.
