Helstrom Episode Count Confirmed

Earlier this year, word came out that Marvel Television was working on a Helstrom series for Marvel fans. Today, Marvel TV announcedthat it had cast Tom Austen as Daimon Helstrom and Sydney Lemmon as Anna Helstrom in the series.

Now, we've got some confirmation that the comic book series is actually going to run for ten episodes during its first season on Hulu. According to the casting announcement first published by Deadline, Marvel TV plans to offer ten episodes of Helstrom for the show's first season – not quite a surprise considering the network's history with shows. Hulu's Runaways also got ten episodes during its first season on the streaming site. Eventually, it was given thirteen episodes by Hulu for its second season.

For those who aren't familiar with Daimon Helstrom, the character is popularly known as the Son of Satan. First appearing in Ghost Rider 1, Helstrom is an antihero born by a demon calling himself Satan and a young woman named Victoria Wingate. He has a younger sister named Satana. After learning about the truth of his heritage, Helstrom is directed to Hell by his father. There he is offered the opportunity to serve his father in Hell. However, when Satan transports Helstrom back to Earth, the Anti-hero decides to dedicate himself to battling his father's evil.

Helstrom stars Tom Austen, Sydney Lemmon, Elizabeth Marvel, Robert Wisdom, June Carryl, Ariana Guerra, and Alain Uy. Paul Zbyszewski serves as the series' showrunner.

Helstrom is expected to launch sometime in 2020 on Hulu.
