HBO Against Trump Paraphrasing Game Of Thrones Taglines

Earlier today, President Donald Trump decided to make a reference to the popular fantasy epic Game of Thrones in a new political post on Twitter. While some of Trump's followers loved the pop-culture savvy, it seems like HBO didn't enjoy seeing the president using Game of Thrones references for his political campaign.

On Twitter, the President decided to post a picture of himself along with the phrase, "Sanctions are Coming, November 5." Not only is it a clear reference to Game of Thrones popular tagline and phrase, Winter is Coming, but it also comes in a similar font that HBO uses for advertising the show.

While Trump's post generated quite a number of comments from his followers, HBO clearly isn't too pleased with the president's post. Speaking with The Hollywood Reporter, HBO put up a statement saying they weren't aware that Trump decided to make use of Game of Thrones' tagline, "Winter is Coming."

"We were not aware of this messaging and would prefer our trademark not be misappropriated for political purposes," the network told the publication.

After that, the network decided to take to Twitter, posting on its official account asking fans "How do you say trademark misuse in Dothraki," a clear jab at Trump and his little "Sanctions are coming."

HBO wasn't the only one displeased by the tweet though. Even Game of Thrones cast members like Maisie Williams (Arya Stark) and Sophie Turner (Sansa Stark) were upset by Trump's post.

How about you? What do you feel seeing Trump using Game of Thrones references for his political campaigns?
