Although there is little information revealed about the Hawkeye series as of late, fans have been eager to find out any updates on the show. Despite rumors of Hawkeye on the verge of getting canceled, it looks like the series is eyeing a production start date this year.

According to Charles Murphy, his sources claim that Marvel is moving forward to start filming in September 2020. He pointed out that, although it is still a few months from now, the show is within the target start date. That being said, it seems that the studio is also open to a later production date, given the situation with Hailee Steinfeld, who is the first choice for the role of Kate Bishop. In addition, Murphy says Hawkeye, along with Ms. Marvel and She-Hulk are all expected to film primarily in Atlanta.

Marvel is yet to reveal further details about Hawkeye, but a few rumors have been surrounding the show in the past week. One is that the series will be introducing Clint Barton's brother, Barney Barton, who is also known as Trickshot. As well as a potential appearance of the Tracksuit Mafia.

As for the Kate Bishop role, Marvel is reportedly meeting with other actresses for the part besides Steinfeld, given her contract with Apple TV is allegedly held up, which is preventing the studio to close the deal with the actress. The two actresses they met up weren't revealed by the site but they have both starred in a "big-budget sci-fi fantasy film."

When the said production date is confirmed, hopefully, fans will get to learn more about the upcoming show very soon.

Hawkeye will be coming to Disney+ in Fall 2021.
