Harry Potter Star Daniel Radcliffe Expects To See A Reboot Of The Franchise In His Lifetime

Hollywood's been littered with so many reboots of popular film and television franchises, it's hard to imagine that Harry Potter hasn't been remade yet. In fact, Daniel Radcliffe, Warner Brothers' Harry Potter star himself, thinks that it's very likely that he's going to see a reboot of the franchise in his own lifetime. Though the British actor doesn't really see the need for a reboot, Radcliffe thinks that a remake of the Harry Potter franchise seems inevitable in this day and age of cinema.

Radcliffe was promoting his new series Miracle Workers with TV Guide when he was asked what he thought of the future of the Harry Potter film franchise.

"I don't know at this point what would be gained by rebooting it for TV, but that's not necessarily the goal, I suppose," Radcliffe said in his interview with the publication. "I definitely think there will be another version of it within my lifetime. It will be interesting to see. At the moment those films have sort of a sacred varnish on them, but that will be worn away at some point. I'm just intrigued to see when that happens."

Of course, it might take a while to see a reboot of the Harry Potter films. While it's been eight years since the release of the franchise's last film, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2, Warner Brothers has been preoccupied with the spinoff series, Fantastic Beasts. Sure, Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald.

Sure, The Crimes Of Grindelwald might have been a flop, but fans are still looking forward to the last film in the trilogy.
