Iconic Star Wars and Indiana Jones star Harrison Ford will soon be making his debut in the MCU as President Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross, and it’s not where you expect him to first appear in, according to a new report.

Reputable scooper Giant Freakin Robot claims that we’ll be seeing Ford in the MCU sooner than you think. While the MCU fans expect him to grace the screens in his own title film, Marvel’s Thunderbolts (July 26, 2024), the news outlet states that he will reportedly debut as soon as Armor Wars!

Now, there may be no release date yet on when exactly Marvel’s Armor Wars is set to be released, however, it is speculated to take place after the events of Secret Invasion, which is one of the few Marvel and Disney+ series releasing this year.

It is worth noting that Harrison Ford will be filling in the shoes of the late William Hurt, who originally portrayed Thunderbolt Ross in 2008’s The Incredible Hulk, until his death in 2022, which brings Ford being announced to take over the role in October 2022. While we have yet to see Ford as the titular character, his career as a prominent figure in the industry is not something to sneeze at.

Incidentally, this would make Armor Wars the first MCU film to potentially feature two actors as a result of recasting, with the other main star being Don Cheadle as James Rhodes aka War Machine after Terrence Howard originally portraying the character back in 2008’s Iron Man.

The news outlet is uncertain on how much of Ford we’ll really be seeing in Armor Wars, however, seeing as Ross’ role as an elected President will likely put him on a commanding role opposite of James Rhodes, it would be safe to say on how much interaction and chemistry we’ll be seeing from these two actors.

Marvel Studios’ Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania is now showing in theaters.
