The Haikyuu: Battle of the Garbage Dump movie is finally screening in Japanese cinemas. With the film out now, fans are wondering if the Haikyuu!! Final movie has a post-credits scene.
Despite being called the “final” movie, this film is just the first of a two-part film series. This means fans are expecting to see a post-credits scene to hype up the next installment.
Even though it’s only on its first day of release, many fans have already shared their thoughts along with info about the film’s scenes.
Spoiler Warning: This article includes spoilers for the Haikyuu manga, so proceed with caution.
Haikyuu: Battle of the Garbage Dump First Reactions Shared Online
While the Haikyuu manga ended in 2020, the anime adaptation by Production I.G has not yet wrapped up its story. After the fourth season in late 2020, no new anime installment was released.
In mid-2022, fans were treated to the Haikyuu Final two-part film announcement. As the title implies, these two films will serve as the conclusion of the anime’s story.
It may have taken a while, but fans in Japan can finally watch the film in regular cinemas and IMAX theaters. Thus, it’s no surprise that there are already early reactions online.
On platforms such as X (formerly Twitter) and Reddit, those who got to see the movie revealed that it should delight Haikyuu fans. This is thanks to the film’s dynamic animation of the volleyball scenes.
The praise is not unanimous though. Some noted that the pace is a bit on the fast side given that the film has to cover quite a lot of chapters.

Does the Haikyuu Final Movie Have a Post-Credits Scene?
As for the Haikyuu Final movie having a post-credits scene, it seems it may have one, at least based on reactions from fans like @todokugou on X.
Based on their X thread, the movie will feature a scene at the end that shows Korai Hoshiumi, the ace of Kamomedai High.
This isn’t too surprising given that Karasuno High’s next match following their Nekoma High game is against Kamomedai.
It’s not clear though if this is a true post-credits scene or if it is shown before the credits roll. Whatever the case may be, this first Final movie will likely build up the series’ proper conclusion.
For now, there’s no word yet on whether the Haikyuu Final movie will be released in cinemas outside of Japan.
