There are lots of isekai anime released every season, but this upcoming one might just be the most out there. Recently, a new trailer for the Reborn as a Vending Machine isekai anime was released along with its release date.
Yes, the series has a story that’s exactly as its name implies. Instead of being reborn as a warrior in another world like in a typical isekai, the main character here is instead reborn as a vending machine.
Mind you, he at least gets reincarnated as a sentient vending machine.
Reborn as a Vending Machine, I Now Wander the Dungeon Anime
In the beginning, many isekai shows were serious affairs, but as the genre got crowded with lots of titles, many new isekai anime introduced unique twists to set them apart.
For instance, Re:Zero went with an incredibly dark and grim take on the genre. Then there’s Campfire Cooking in Another World with its comfy, food-focused story.
Now, we have a new isekai anime called Reborn as a Vending Machine, and it’s about a vending machine otaku who gets involved in a road accident while cycling.
He soon finds himself reborn in another world as his favorite thing.
In his newfound vending machine form, the main character discovers that he can dispense any item that he has bought in his previous life. Each sale can also be converted to points that can sustain his life.
Of course, things don’t go well at first as this fantasy world is unfamiliar with vending machines.
In a stroke of luck, a young hunter named Lammis happens upon the vending machine.
Calling him Boxxo, Lammis soon becomes friends with the protagonist, as he perfectly complements her by providing her food and helping her manage her incredible strength.

Reborn as a Vending Machine Anime Release Date
As with most isekai titles, this anime is based on a light novel of the same name that became a big meme back when it was released in 2017.
Now, fans of the source material can get to see it in anime form.
While its broadcast is still a couple of months away, the first trailer was released, which you can watch here:
The two main cast members of the anime were also revealed. Voicing the main character, Boxxo, is Jun Fukuyama (Lelouch in Code Geass). Joining him is Kaede Hondo (Maple in BOFURI) as Lammis.
Reborn as a Vending Machine, I Now Wander the Dungeon will premiere in July 2023. There’s currently no word yet on where it will be streamed outside Japan.
