Guardians of the Galaxy: Zoe Saldana is Ready to Say Goodbye to Gamora After Vol. 3

One of the most exciting things about Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is the return of Gamora after her shocking demise in Avengers: Infinity War. But could the Marvel Cinematic Universe sequel be the last one for the character? Zoe Saldana has just admitted that she is ready to say goodbye to Gamora after the third Guardians film.

Zoe Saldana recently spoke to Variety where she pointed out that she is open to more MCU movies. However, there is one thing about the role that she doesn't enjoy at all.

"I can never say no to anything, but that green makeup? I wouldn't be upset if it didn't happen again," Saldana said. "I miss Gamora but I don't miss 3:30 a.m. calls and five-hour makeup sessions and trips to the dermatologist afterwards."

She also stated that the fan reaction is the one thing that inspires her to keep coming back for more.

"Every time that you know that 8-year-old or that dad and mom or those generational fans that remind me that what I did was special to them, it makes me not be cynical about Marvel. It makes me understand that younger audiences should stop being overlooked," Saldana continued. "They have feelings too and if something impacts them, just because we consider it stupid or immature or cheeky, doesn't mean it's not special."

For now, it looks like Zoe Saldana is ready to continue playing Gamora. Still, the character's future is up to Disney and Marvel Studios so we'll see what happens in Vol. 3.

The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special will premiere on Disney+ on November 25, 2022. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is scheduled for release on May 5, 2023.
