Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 Star Explains Why the High Evolutionary is Different From Other MCU Villains

There is little doubt that the Marvel Cinematic Universe has had its share of terrifying villains but Chukwudi Iwuji claims that Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3's the High Evolutionary will be different for many scary reasons.

It has already been established that the High Evolutionary will be the main villain in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 and it was confirmed that he has done a lot of really bad things to Rocket Raccoon and other animals.

Not surprisingly, even Chukwudi Iwuji has nothing nice to say about the High Evolutionary.

"He doesn't have any redeeming qualities," Iwuji told GamesRadar.

"He's a proper villain you know, proper with a capital P," he added. "He's going after something terrifying, he makes you very uncomfortable, and you're waiting for him to get his comeuppance."

Iwudi continued that although he doesn't like the villain that much, he did enjoy playing the High Evolutionary in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3.

"Those [qualities] are very fun to play without any apology or any craving for sympathy from the audience's side," he said.

Chukwudi Iwuji has made it clear that he disagrees with his character's actions. He previously admitted he was glad he didn't have to work with animals because of the terrible things his character has to do to them.

"It really helped that when I was dealing with the animals, I wasn't really dealing with any animals, because it would have been much harder that way," he said.

The third Guardians of the Galaxy film will also bring back Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldaña, Dave Bautista, Karen Gillan, Pom Klementieff, Vin Diesel, Bradley Cooper, Sean Gunn, Elizabeth Debicki, Maria Bakalova, and Sylvester Stallone.

Chukwudi Iwuji and Will Poulter are confirmed to join the cast.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 will premiere in theaters on May 5, 2023.
