Game of Thrones Showrunners are Going To Make "Star Wars on Acid", Says Emilia Clarke

Lucasfilm/Disney

Back in February, Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy announced that Game of Thrones showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss are going to develop a new Star Wars trilogy. Now, Emilia Clarke is saying that it will be like Star Wars on acid.

Clarke, who's best known for playing Daenerys Targaryen in Game of Thrones and who's also playing Qi'ra in Solo: A Star Wars Story, believes that Benioff and Weiss' talent and creativity will take Star Wars to a totally new level. What they brought to fantasy as a genre that people are like, appreciating on a much grander scale, putting all of that creativity and all of that skill and intellect into something that already has so much, I think it's just gonna be like Star Wars on acid. I think it'll be amazing. I can't wait. Here's what Clarke said while speaking to Variety:

Clarke is doing press duties for Solo: A Star Wars Story in which she plays a "modern-day femme fatale". She will also reprise her role as Daenerys Targaryen when the eighth and final season of Game of Thrones premieres next year.

Solo: A Star Wars Story is now showing in theaters.
