Gal Gadot Voicing Wonder Woman in The LEGO Movie 2

Despite The LEGO Movie 2 focusing on characters like Emmet and Lucy, the film also has some cameo appearances from DC characters like Superman and Batman. Margot Robbie and Jason Momoa has been confirmed to be reprising their roles as Harley Quinn and Aquaman (respectively), and now we have another DCEU actress joining the fray.

According to Flickering Myth, Gal Gadot will be reprising her role of Wonder Woman in the LEGO Movie sequel. In the original film, the voice of Diana was provided by Cobie Smulders (How I Met Your Mother, Avengers), but now it seems the film would like to bank on Gadot's fame as Wonder Woman. Besides, she also voiced a character in another animated hit from last year, Ralph Breaks the Internet.

Though there are some DCEU heroes coming to The LEGO Movie 2, there are still some DC characters voiced by new actors instead of their live-action counterparts. Will Arnett is still voicing Batman instead of Ben Affleck, and Channing Tatum is Superman with Jonah Hill playing Green Lantern.

Personally I would like to see another Star Wars cameo in the film. My jaw dropped when Han Solo appeared on the Millennium Falcon with the first movie. I wonder if WB managed to get some more Star Wars for this film. You think the movie is ballsy enough to reference the fact that producers Phil Lord and Chris Miller were fired from directing Solo: A Star Wars Story?

It's been five years since everything was awesome and the citizens are facing a huge new threat: LEGO DUPLO® invaders from outer space, wrecking everything faster than they can rebuild.

The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part comes to theaters Feb. 8.
