First Look at Rufus the Naked Mole Rat in Live-Action Kim Possible

Disney Channel is set to release their live-action Kim Possible movie later this month, and a lot of fans of the original have admittedly not been forgiving of what they've seen so far. We've seen looks for characters like Kim, Ron, Draken, and Shego, but now we have our first look at Rufus the Naked Mole Rat.

Seeing that real naked mole rats look kind of gnarly in person, Disney has decided to soften up his features his for a bit. I do have to say, he doesn't look too terrible. What's interesting is, Nancy Cartwright (The Simpsons) who did the voice for the original Rufus, is also coming back for this character.

We don't really know for how much Rufus will be in the film, but for a Disney Channel movie, I'm sure he's going to appear sparingly counting the CGI budget.

In the cartoon, Rufus has been a longtime pet of Ron Stoppable, but he also manages to be helpful with Kim's missions. If you want an entire background on him, you can just listen to Ron's Naked Mole Rap here:

Everyday teen hero Kim Possible (Sadie Stanley) and her best friend Ron Stoppable (Sean Giambrone) embark on their freshman year of high school, all while saving the world from evil villains. While Kim and Ron have always been one step ahead of their opponents, navigating the social hierarchy of high school is more challenging than the action-heroes ever imagined. With Drakken (Todd Stashwick) and Shego (Taylor Ortega) lurking in the wings, Kim must rely on her family and friends on Team Possible—Ron, tech-genius Wade (Issac Ryan Brown), new friend Athena (Ciara Wilson), and Rufus, a Naked mole-rat—to stop these super villains!

The live-action Kim Possible comes to Disney Channel Feb. 15.
