First Kill is a Netflix original series that first premiered on June 10, 2022. It is a supernatural-themed show that tells the story of ill-fated lovers Juliette and Calliope, who come from enemy families – one from a vampire family from days old and another from an ancient clan of monster hunters. They both have to complete the task of killing one from the opposing clan, so they set their eyes on each other as a target, but they fall in love in the process.

First Kill Season 2 Release Date: When Will the Netflix Original Come Out?

Netflix chose not to renew First Kill for a second season. Fans of the show are outraged by the decision not to renew the show. So much so, that 'Free First Kill' trended on Twitter.

If First Kill is renewed for a second season, we expect that it will come out next year around the same time that season one premiered, so it may release around June 2023 or as a part of Netflix’s summer release.

First Kill Season 2 Cast: Who are the Actors Included in the Horror Series?

We are not yet sure which of the cast from the first season will return for First Kill season 2, but chances are we get to see most of the actors return to reprise their roles for the show.

Sarah Catherine Hook and Iman Lewis should return to play star-crossed lovers Juliette and Calliope, or many fans will be disappointed mainly because of their excellent portrayals in the first season. We also expect to see the return of Gracie Dzienny as Elinor, Dylan McNamara as Oliver, and Aubin Wise as Talia.

The other actors we want to return are Elizabeth Mitchell as Margot, Jason Robert Moore as Jack, Will Swenson as Sebastian, and Dominic Goodman as Apollo. With any luck, Walnette Marie Santiago will return as Carmen and Jonas Dylan Allen as Ben Wheeler.

In an interview with The Wrap, Sarah Catherine Hook, who plays Juliette in the series, said she is hopeful that First Kill will be renewed for a second season.

I think if you guys would just watch the show and make sure that it is top 10 on Netflix so that we can get to season two, then I'm pretty sure we can come back. So just put it on. Everyone in the world, just put it on your TV and we'll all be okay. We will be back. Don't worry.

She gave fans hope and an assignment, so keep streaming the first season First Kill season 1 to make season 2 happen.

First Kill Season 2 Crew: Who are the Creatives Behind the Scenes?

The second season of First Kill should still draw inspiration from the V.E. Schwab’s short story, which first appeared in the anthology Vampires Never Get Old: Tales With Fresh Bite. Schwab may also still write for the series along with other writers who developed the first season, such as Bryce Ahart, Stephanie McFarlane, and Italome Ohikuare.

The directors of First Kill season 1 may also be contracted to direct more series episodes. Eriq La Salle, Amanda Tapping, and Jet Wilkinson are some of the names which may be tapped to continue directing in season two.

First Kill Season 2 Plot: What Will be the Plot of the Horror Thriller Series?

First Kill season one came with a heartbreak that most of us can relate to – though maybe not in the way that Juliette and Calliope experienced. Cal and Juliette split up in the last episode of the seas, which shows both characters in pain and suffering from the decision they made. No reconciliation happened between the lover,s and neither one seemed keen to initiate, especially after the hurtful things that were said between them.

In the background of the heartbroken teens, we see their families resolve conflict on their own. Talia helped Theo escape from Apollo and Jac,k but Burns begrudgingly had to turn Theo over to Oliver. Oliver is set up to be a potential villain in season two (if it does happen) after he explains his reason for returning home and introduces other ‘friends’ who will help him achieve his goal. Since these characters are introduced so late in the season, this may be a good jumping point for season two.

The possibility of First Kill being renewed is one that many fans of the new show are holding on to. Given that the series has only been released, a season two is still nowhere in sight, but we are keeping our hopes up and our fangs sharpened for when it does happen.
