Final Fantasy VII Remake Won't be Delayed Anymore as the Game Has Gone Gold

Square Enix released the Final Fantasy VII Remake Demo yesterday and that has increased excitement for this game, which was already at an all-time high. The demo feels a bit like Final Fantasy XV and Kingdom Hearts, which is a very good comparison when it comes to gameplay. As if there wasn't enough to get excited about, the folks at Square Enix have confirmed that the game has gone gold, meaning that there won't be any more delays.

This was confirmed when the Japanese gaming website 4Gamer interviewed the game's co-director, Tetsuya Nomura. Thanks to a translation from Siliconera, we know that this beloved remake will not be delayed again after the initial one. We know that a lot of hearts were broken when it was announced that the game wouldn't be making its March 3 release, though the delay itself wasn't too bad.

Here's Nomura assuring fans that there won't be any more delays:

Yes, it's all right now. We needed a little more time for some of the last quality improvements, but it has already gone gold and there won't be any further delays.

Considering how fun the demo of Final Fantasy VII Remake is, we can only imagine how much better the finished product is going to be. The game might be considered disappointing to some, especially since it's only going to cover ⅓ of the original game's first disc but we're sure that fans will appreciate getting to know these characters more.

Final Fantasy VII Remake is coming out on April 10 for the PS4. The demo is available now.
