FarmVille Developer Teams Up With Disney For Star Wars Mobile Games

EA might still be in charge of Star Wars games for consoles and computers but the license for mobile titles has belonged to a number of developers. Zynga, who have developed numerous games like FarmVille, will be teaming up with Disney to make mobile games. Apparently, the company will be able to make two free-to-play mobile games based on the Star Wars franchise.

In addition to making two new games, the company is now in charge of Star Wars: Commander, a free-to-play live gaming service. The company will likely make new content for the game, which will be interesting to see since there are so many new elements to the Star Wars universe.

Disney and Lucasfilm will presumably wait and see how the company's first Star Wars game does before making they greenlight the second one. Free-to-play mobile games are a dime a dozen but they do make a lot of money so this could be a great move for Zynga. They have already done that with FarmVille so it's easy to see why Disney went to them for a mobile game.

No news on what kind of game this title will be so fans will have to wait for more news. Still, it will be free so fans probably won't mind playing it to kill time.
