Fans are particularly ecstatic over the latest MCU casting news because it could potentially lead to Plaza's on-screen reunion with Wanda Maximoff actress Elizabeth Olsen. In case you weren't aware, there's no shortage of history between Olsen and Plaza, who worked on the 2017 film Ingrid Goes West, which interestingly also featured another MCU star in Wyatt Russell.

While that marked the only time the two actresses shared a project together, they've remained good friends in real life and their oftentimes "chaotic" relationship has endeared many. For the longest time, fans have been demanding to see them again in a project and while the Scarlet Witch's status remains unclear, Plaza being the MCU is definitely a huge step. Plaza is already no stranger to the Marvel Universe, having starred in the shortlived Legion series as Lenny Busker. Of course, its canonicity to the MCU is shrouded in doubt, much like the other shows that didn't take place in the Earth-616 timeline the franchise has long established.

Personally, I'm glad Aubrey is finally joining the MCU because frankly speaking, it's been long overdue. The real question is, what kind of character could she end up playing? Here's to hoping it's also a witch!
