Ezra Miller Confirms He's Still Playing The Flash

If any DCEU film has been a nightmare behind the scenes, it's definitely been the standalone Flash movie. After numerous setbacks and changes in directors, The Flash is finally settling with director Andy Muschietti. What's good to know, though, is that Ezra Miller is still on board to star as the Fastest Man Alive.

Miller confirms this in an interview with W Magazine Korea, "Well, I'll tell you the ones that I can tell you about because they're absolutely confirmed are Fantastic Beasts 3, The Flash movie, I'm making more music with Sons of an Illustrious Father — the band I'm in — and I'm also making some music on my own which will be sort of a new project, a solo project."

Miller's involvement can come as a relief for fans as some of his DCEU co-stars have already left the franchise. Most famously Ben Affleck has left the role of Batman, and it's still up in the air whether we'll see Henry Cavill as Superman again. It's good to know that Wonder Woman and Aquaman were successful enough to keep Gal Gadot and Jason Momoa around. Fingers crossed they do something with Ray Fisher's Cyborg soon.

We don't have any details on how The Flash is going to be handled, but personally, I'm hoping they go the darker route that was originally envisioned with Batman v Superman. The last 2 DCEU films were too kid-friendly in my opinion, and we already have the MCU covering that market. I just want some variety with my comic book films.

No release date has been set for The Flash, but the next DCEU film, Joker is set to hit theaters Oct. 4.
